How many credit hours are full time enrollment?
Full time enrollment is 8 credit hours. For GSI/GSRA, full time enrollment is 6 credit hours.
What is the last day I can withdraw from a class?
Visit the Academic Guidelines section of this page for the current Add/Drop Courses Deadline.
What are the grade and GPA requirements?
You must receive a B- or higher in a course in order for it to count towards your degree requirements.
You must maintain a 3.0 GPA to graduate from the program. If you receive a GPA below a 3.0 during your time in the program, you will be placed on probation until the GPA is above a 3.0. Two or more semesters with a GPA below a 3.0 can lead to dismissal from the program.
May I remove a course from my transcript if I do not do well in a class?
No, you are not able to remove courses from your transcript.
When can I start to enroll in courses?
New students can enroll in classes June 1.
Current Students will be informed of enrollment times at the end of each semester.

What should I do if I cannot enroll in a course?
Most often, an inability to enroll is caused by the course being full or restrictions on the type of student that can enroll in the class.
To enroll in these courses, go to the first day of class and ask the instructor for permission to enroll. It is important to note that the instructor of the course has the final decision regarding enrollment.
What should I do if a course is full or I am on the waitlist?
We encourage students to be patient with the course enrollment process. It is very rare that students are not able to get into a course they would like to take. It is important to note that the instructor of the course has the final decision regarding enrollment.
If the course is full, try to get on the waitlist. If there is not a waitlist, check back regularly to see if a waitlist has been created.
If you still have not enrolled in the course, go to the first day of class and ask the instructor for permission to enroll in the course. You are not guaranteed to enrollment into the course.
Can I enroll in an undergraduate level course?
Yes, you can enroll in this course with the permission of the instructor. You will need to get a form from the graduate advising office.
Please note that these courses WILL NOT count towards your enrollment status, degree requirements, credit hours, or GPA.
Can I enroll in ELI (English Language Institute) courses?
Yes, you can enroll in ELI courses. These courses will count towards your enrollment status.
Please note that only some ELI courses can count toward your degree requirements. Please email the graduate coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org) for details.
Can I visit/audit a course?
Yes, you can audit/visit a course with the permission of the instructor. You will need to get a form from the Graduate Program Coordinator.
Please note that these courses WILL NOT count towards your enrollment status, degree requirements, credit hours, or GPA; however, you will still pay tuition for the course.
