Mia was advised by Professor Ella Atkins, and was a member of the Autonomous Aerospace Systems Lab. Her PhD work focused on geofencing for small unmanned aerial systems. Her research interests include system independent guidance schemes for UAS, ground station development, and flight testing. Mia holds a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering with Information Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
